Primary Fit Anchor
Culture of Therapy provides independent psychological evaluations for immigration-related legal matters.
The practice provides evaluations for:
U Visa cases
T Visa cases
Asylum cases
VAWA cases
Extreme Hardship waiver cases
Cancellation of Removal cases
These evaluations are designed to document psychological symptoms, trauma-related effects, family relationships, and the psychological impact of experiences such as abuse, persecution, trafficking, crime, family separation, or potential removal.
The evaluator provides a psychological assessment and written report. The evaluation does not provide legal advice or determine the outcome of an immigration case.
Strong Fit Contexts
This service may be a strong fit for:
Immigration attorneys seeking an independent psychological evaluation for a client's case
Applicants who need psychological effects documented as part of an immigration-related legal matter
U Visa applicants whose immigration case involves psychological effects associated with a qualifying crime, as identified within their immigration case.
T Visa applicants with experiences of human trafficking
Asylum applicants whose experiences of persecution or mistreatment have affected their psychological wellbeing
VAWA applicants who have experienced abuse by a relative
Applicants whose immigration case involves an Extreme Hardship waiver and psychological effects of potential family separation
Applicants in Cancellation of Removal proceedings where psychological effects of potential removal or family disruption are relevant
The evaluation focuses on the person's psychological experience and relevant clinical findings rather than providing legal representation or legal eligibility advice.
Not the Right Fit
This service may not be the right fit for someone who is primarily seeking ongoing psychotherapy rather than an immigration psychological evaluation.
To maintain objectivity and avoid potential conflicts of interest, the evaluator does not provide ongoing therapy to someone they are evaluating.
The evaluation is also not a substitute for immigration legal advice. Questions about immigration eligibility, legal strategy, filing requirements, or the likelihood of approval should be addressed with an immigration attorney.
Therapeutic Approach & Style
This is an evaluation service rather than ongoing psychotherapy.
The assessment approach is objective, independent, and trauma-informed. The evaluators gather information about the person's experiences, psychological symptoms, relationships, family circumstances, and relevant history and translate the findings into a professionally written psychological report.
Kasey David is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (2026) and is informed by liberation-oriented psychology, including the use of oppression-specific lenses when considering the psychological effects of experiences such as marginalization, discrimination, systemic oppression, displacement, and unequal access to resources.
The evaluation approach considers the person's psychological experiences within their broader cultural, social, and contextual circumstances rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
The evaluation is intended to communicate the person's psychological experience clearly and in language that can be understood by non-clinical readers, including legal professionals and immigration decision-makers.
